Manufacturing Engineer
Job Description: As a Manufacturing Engineer at HelloFresh and Factor, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our production lines run smoothly and efficiently. You will be an individual contributor responsible for maximizing equipment uptime, selecting state-of-the-art machinery, and leading equipment innovation projects. Your expertise will be crucial in guiding the installation of new equipment, collaborating with vendors, and training our team members to maintain optimal production standards.You will collaborate with Engineering peers, Production, Safety, Culinary, and Construction to accomplish your goals.

- Lead and support improvement projects related to efficiency, increased volume, cost reduction, improved safety, and product quality improvements from ideation to implementation.
- Develop and apply knowledge of food manufacturing equipment and internal production processes.
- Author and update SOPs, submit regulatory process documentation, and publish project communications.
- Present project findings, and propose actionable engineering solutions based on process and equipment benchmarking, root cause analysis, thorough data analysis, and equipment engineering principles.
- Collaborate with team and stakeholders on assigned projects including engineering peers, Operations, Quality, Maintenance, Culinary R&D, Product Validation, Sanitation, and Safety.

- Technically proficient in equipment capabilities, standards, performance improvement, statistics.
- Able to analyze and provide solutions for equipment and process improvements.
- Experienced in developing preferred methods/Standard Operating Procedures.
- Proficient in utilizing labor data to cost justify capital expenditure and process change ROI.
- A strong project manager and able to manage concurrent deliverables and project deadlines
You have…
- BS Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or similar field required.
- 2-5 years of Food Manufacturing experience as well as knowledge of FDA/USDA standards desired.
- 2-5 years’experience investigating, analyzing, justifying and selecting equipment to assist the company in making the correct decision to improve costs and efficiencies.
- 2-5 years of engineering, project management experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Lean Six Sigma certification and Kaizen experience desired.
- Comfort and experience working on the production floor and engaging with equipment and operators
