The role

As Senior/Lead Category Manager - Nordics you will lead the category strategy, develop partnerships with key suppliers, act as the senior point of escalation, and drive process improvement initiatives across the category.

We are looking for an ambitious, confident, entrepreneurial and high-spirited procurement professional with both the analytical and soft skills to tackle tough challenges and work with suppliers in our procurement process, specifically for cheese and related ingredients.

What you’ll do

• Lead the scouting, development, and relationship management for our supplier network in our Nordics markets (SE, DK, NO)
• Work closely with the strategic procurement team to build strong long-term relationships and negotiate favorable terms for procurement of cheese  products
• Look to develop and optimize our supplier network as well as new or alternative suppliers
• Work with suppliers to ensure on-time, on-spec deliveries or discuss shortages/missed deliveries
• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders such as product operations, supply chain operations, and SPOQ teams to improve workings between Procurement and other teams
• Create ongoing data analysis & category reviews to drive performance strategically and achieve ambitious targets
• Lead and influence a variety of stakeholders within the business specifically for procurement

What you’ll bring

• Knowledge and interest in food markets, agricultural goods in the Nordics
• Masters degree in Supply Chain / Procurement / Business (or similar) 
• 6+ years of strategic procurement / supply chain / commercial consulting experience, in the food sector (ideally proteins)
• Experience working in a diverse and high-performing team
• Prove track record of building strong supplier relationships 
• Extensive experience in setting a category strategy and driving continuous improvements within a category
• Quantitative and analytical experience, including solid comfort with Excel
• Proactive, flexible, ambitious, and assertive: you take ownership of your work
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment 

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: Up to 25% (Flexible)
