The Big Data & Analytics team at Pinterest is responsible for end to end big data infrastructure, data warehousing & AB testing framework & business intelligence solutions that powers the rest of the business. The team owns both the critical data infrastructures from log ingestion,  batch & stream processing, big data query & workflow systems & AB testing experimentation framework, and also the data processing & ETL pipelines for data warehousing and business intelligence.

What you’ll do:

• You’ll have the opportunity to build the infrastructure platforms or the data processing pipelines that powers Pinterest’s critical business needs.
• Building or using the cutting edge big data technologies such as Hadoop/Spark/Flink/Kafka/Airflow/Presto.

What we’re looking for:

• 5+ years of industry experience in big data infrastructure or data warehouse engineering/business intelligence.
• Passionate about working with data at hundreds of petabytes scale.
• Solid experience in one of the languages in Java/Scala/Python.
• Publications at conferences a plus
• Bonus points for experience with big data infrastructure (e.g. Hadoop/Spark/Flink/Kafka/Airflow/Presto), using big data technologies for data processing, ETL, reporting, and / or experience building A/B testing or Machine learning Infrastructure frameworks.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, or equivalent experience.

In-Office Requirement Statement: 

• We let the type of work you do guide the collaboration style. That means we're not always working in an office, but we continue to gather for key moments of collaboration and connection.
• This role will need to be in the office for in-person collaboration 1-2 times every 6-months and therefore can be situated anywhere in the country.
